Authors should familiarize themselves with the overall editorial policies (Submission Requirements and Conditions of Acceptance) for Sindh journal of Animal Research before submitting their paper. These policies spell out the rights and responsibilities that authors agree to when submitting and publishing their papers.

Scope

Sindh Journal of Animal Research (SJAR) is a peer review, biannual publication of Sindh Animal Research Foundation (SARF) and Mehran Veterinary Doctors Forum (MVDF). The Journal publishes original researches, reviews in the form of full length articles, short communications and reports on various aspects of animal science i.e. animal diseases, animal reproduction, veterinary surgery and obstetrics, animal products, general physiology, veterinary pathology, veterinary pharmacology, veterinary microbiology, animal nutrition, animal husbandry, poultry husbandry, poultry health and products, fisheries and aquaculture, wild life and other interdisciplinary approaches to medicine. Publications are available online (ISSN requested) as well as print (ISSN requested).

The SJAR accepts manuscripts only in English language. The subject editors will be given assignments handle all initial correspondence with the consultants/ reviewers/ members of advisory board and also with authors during the review process. The executive editor will notify the authors for the final decision of acceptance or rejection.

Conditions of Acceptance

Funding and Conflict of Interest

Authors
Before acceptance, each author will be asked to disclose all affiliations, funding sources, and financial or management relationships related to the reported research. Patents (whether applications or awards to the authors or home institutions) related to the work should also be declared. The editors will decide whether this information will be included in the published manuscript as competing interests.
Reviewers
Reviewers form the cornerstone of the peer-review process, and their evaluations ensure the quality of published research. Therefore, the editors seek reviewers for Sindh journal of Animal Research who do not have conflicts of interest with the authors or reported research in the manuscripts they read. In addition to this precaution, reviewers are required to disclose any previously unreported conflicts with the evaluation of the paper, and this information is taken into account by the editors when decisions are made.
Editorial Staff
Editors for Sindh journal of Animal Research are required to fill out a conflict of interest form, which is then evaluated by Board of consultants/SARF management. Editors for Sindh journal of Animal Research may not have any financial or management interest.
Advisory Board
The members of the Advisory Board are required to fill out a conflict of interest form, which is then maintained and evaluated by the editorial staff. Advisors who have conflicts with any particular paper are recued from seeing that paper at any stage in the evaluation process. Staff editors, who are required to have no conflicts of interest, make all final decisions on manuscripts.

Study Design

Plan of work should clearly be mentioned in the first section of the Materials and Methods, state and explain how the study was designed which include Sample size, data collection, data inclusion/exclusion criteria, selection of endpoints, replicates and analysis of data. Research objectives, research subjects or units of investigation and experimental design should also be declared in the material and method section of article.

Care and Use of Animals

Authors must make it clear that experiments conducted were in the comfortable zone by providing proper management and care to animals according to the principles and specific guidelines presented in Guide for the Care and Use of Agricultural Animals in Research and Teaching, 3rd edition, 2010. Also the techniques used methods of killing, surgical procedures, type and dosage of medicine, feeding, housing, vaccination should be mentioned in the text and approved by the learned society of consultants or an institution.

Peer Review Process

The journal uses double review process. All manuscripts will first receive a preliminary review to ensure appropriateness for the journal. The second review will be a more detailed scrutiny by individuals knowledgeable in the specific subject area of the paper. Editors will have additional examination to finalize the manuscript publication. The names of authors will be disclosed to reviewers; probably they may be contacted by reviewers to for queries and suggestions.

Third-party copyright

In order to reproduce any third party material either printed or online, the authors must obtain permission from the copyright holder, give reference specifically and also mention in acknowledgments. SJAR is an open access journal and if you are submitting your manuscript containing material for which you do not have Open Access re-use permissions, please state this clearly by supplying the following credit line alongside the material:

Rights & permissions

The Sindh Animal Research Foundation retains the copyright to all materials accepted for publication in the journal unless an online open access. Authors will be asked to sign a MoU for Copyright Transfer following acceptance of their paper. Permission for reuse or republication of SJAR contents can be granted for a (e) book, journal, power point presentations, academic course packs and thesis. Author self-archiving policy

The manuscript submitted by the author for publication is defined as the author’s original version; it should be set as predefined layout of the journal mentioned in author guidelines. Authors may post the “accepted” version of the paper on the author’s personal or institutional archival Web site. In addition, one author is provided a “referrer” link, which can be posted on a personal or institutional Web page and through which users can freely access the final, published paper on Sindh journal of Animal Research’s Web site.
In addition, all authors must agree to be so listed and must have seen and approved the manuscript, its content, and its submission to Sindh journal of Animal Research. Any changes in authorship must be approved in writing by all of the original authors. Sindh journal of Animal Research will send an email to all authors to confirm receipt of each paper. Submission of a paper that has not been approved by all authors may result in immediate rejection without appeal. Finally, in order to more explicitly detail the part that each author played in generating the published work, all authors must state his or her contribution to the study in the last reference of the paper; this information will be published in the paper.

Open Access

Articles published at SJAR are open access are freely available online, printed version of SJAR will be provided by purchasing or yearly subscription. After acceptance of manuscript the corresponding author will be required to sign a MoU with SARF for re use, reprint of article.

Reprints

SJAR allows reprint of articles published or accepted by the journal, only corresponding authors are eligible to apply for reprints. Reprints can be obtained simply by selecting your plan and submit a request to editor SJAR for reprint.

Post-Production Corrections

Papers once get published will have not be entertained for any correction will only be made if the publication record is seriously affected by the academic accuracy of published information.

Data Availability after Publication

After publication, all data necessary to understand, assess, and extend the conclusions of the manuscript must be available to any reader of Sindh journal of Animal Research. These data must be in the body of the paper, in the Supplementary Materials.
