About

Despite years of advances in the fundamental understanding of veterinary science and the emergence of new technologies, a profound transition is required in animal research for the rapid transformation of this knowledge into productive measures. This needs to be understood where and how these basic discoveries can be applied in different disciplines of animal science. Studies in animals often highlight deep gaps in our fundamental understanding of animal science, but the linkages back to basic research to fill these gaps have not been as effective as they could be. Clearly, creative experimental approaches, novel technologies and new ways of conducting scientific explorations at the interface of established and emerging disciplines are now required to an unprecedented degree if real progress is to be made. To aid in this, Sindh Animal Research Foundation and Mehran Veterinary Doctors Forum created the interdisciplinary journal, Sindh Journal of Animal Research.

Content

Sindh Journal of Animal Research publishes original, peer-reviewed, science-based research articles that report successful advances toward the goal of improving animal care. The editors and an international advisory group of scientists and practitioner-scientists as well as other experts hold Sindh Journal of Animal Research articles to the same high-quality standard that is the hallmark of the journal Science.

Vision

To provide a forum for communication among researchers and trainees to transfer knowledge; understand cutting age research findings and academic studies that bring about field closer to the goal of improving animal health and production.

Mission statement

A major goal of the Sindh Journal of Animal Research is to publish researches to explore and identify scientific knowledge gaps and suggest proper solutions at the junction of basic research. In this vein, original research published in Sindh Journal of Animal Research should report significant progress toward animal husbandry and veterinary science; serve as templates for future explorations in the field of animal sciences, identifying new directions of explorations toward improved animal health and management. These papers preferably will provide insights and evidence with influence beyond their own fields of research.

Scope

Sindh Journal of Animal Research (SJAR) is a peer review, biannual publication of Sindh Animal Research Foundation (SARF) and Mehran Veterinary Doctors Forum (MVDF). The Journal publishes original researches, reviews in the form of full length articles, short communications and reports on various aspects of animal science i.e. animal diseases, animal reproduction, veterinary surgery and obstetrics, animal products, general physiology, veterinary pathology, veterinary pharmacology, veterinary microbiology, animal nutrition, animal husbandry, poultry husbandry, poultry health and products, fisheries and aquaculture, wild life and other interdisciplinary approaches to medicine. Publication are available online (ISSN requested) as well as print (ISSN requested).
